Every moment asks us to surrender the past… surrender to the moment, and surrender attachment to the future. Surrender is always connected to another, the other, or a situation. There will arise a moment in every life where you can no longer fight… there is nothing left to fight with, or that which opposes you does not stop backing you into a corner. Is that the place of surrender? Is it asking you to surrender? Or are you being asked to surrender to yourself?
Surrendering to an outside force is allowing ‘domination’ in your life. Surrendering to all that is being called forth from inside you is having ‘dominion’ over your world, that is your life. Is your perspective on surrender saying BE Dominated or BE in Dominion?
Instead, surrender your attachment to what surrender is, and how you have been taught to do it in the past? There is nothing out there, right? THAT world was created by you, for you, as your classroom. So what are you surrendering, if its all an illusion? The ‘let go’ may not be outside, it may be deeply inside…
Have you surrendered to yourself? Have you surrendered to what hopes and dreams lay quietly within? Have you actually said ‘Yes’ to life… the Divine flow of life that waits to come through you? Are you surrendering to the passions boiling at the core, the sweet whispers of the heart and the imaginative meanderings of our minds? Have you stepped too fully into practicality, settling or logic, rather than the wild… the free.. the ecstatic dance of Spirit within? Once again, ponder the questions presented in Part 1 of this blog series…
