"I AM THE ESSENCE OF LOVE"

OPENING TO THE AUTHENTIC SELFLETTING GO OF THE ILLUSIONI AM THE ESSENCE OF LOVE
“I am the essence of love and give that unto myself and all those I meet.”
What is at your core? What was there before all else? What will remain after all is gone? What did you come from? What will you return to? LOVE is the essence of ‘all that is’.
I had the amazing opportunity to work with a a group of young women at Columbia College for LEAD 2007. The workshop was about remembering the authentic self and opening up to her. They opened up to their feelings about themselves, their insecurities, and fears. Through the two hour journey, there was laughter, there were tears, there was healing, and there was an awakening to the love that rests deeply within. The young girls became women  who were able to stand in the strength of their femininty while remaing soft and nurturing to the little girl inside that needed to still be cared for…the little girl that was the reminder of the love that rests at the core…that is always calling.
What is at the core of you? What is the one thing that cannot change despite who you believe yourself to be? Where must you recognize the presence of love first? Who is the person you must honor foremost as that limitless expression of love? Who are you at your core?
We come into this world as an essence of what is good, perfect, radiant, and beautiful. The childish expressions, tiny voices, and uninhibited laughter bubbles up from bodies that know they are here only to be love, show love, create love, and inspire love. Isn’t that what babies and young children do? Do they not bring us to a place of reflection…a place of question…perhaps a moment of remembering?
As we grow, often times the essence that we know ourselves to be gets hazed over with sheer curtains of expectation, responsibility, insecurity, stress, and self inflicted feelings of guilt or shame. Growing up is not always as graceful and gentle as one might wish it to be. Circumstances show up in life that can be perceived as unfair and challenging. However, the gift in such events is an opportunity to look deeper within… to remember the core that exists.
The ultimate journey of life is in the recognition of our true selves. It is in learning to forgive all of those things that seemed “wrong” by being able to love ourselves so much that we awaken to the true essence that resides deeply inside…that which is so “right”. It continually calls us. The wanting that beckons is the language of the soul asking you to listen…to come home.
In opening to the warm embers of loving kindness and holiness that eternally burn, we intellectually and emotionally are able to recognize the oneness between all things… living and nonliving… animate and inanimate.
Through oneness, we see beyond what the eyes limited vision can partake in. A greater vision unfolds…one that allows an unconditionally loving view of the individuals that participate in our lives: the closest family member, good friend, an acquaintance, the grocery clerk, the garbage collector, the person that snapped at you, the guy that cut you off on the interstate…
Some of these people will be ones that have supported and nurtured you through the years. There will be others who have done things to hurt and betray. Finally there are those that came in and out of your life without a thought as to who they were, mere passers by. But now with more open vision, the world will appear different.
In seeing through the eyes of love’s essence, you will not view who they are and what they have done, you will see the pain that they feel, the love that resides within their souls, and the journey that is their pathway to truth. Seeing people for what is truly going on instead of their symptomatic actions and reactions, will further open your heart toward forgiveness. Forgiveness will be the key to unlocking peace within your life.
In forgiving them, you will finally be able to forgive yourself of all of the judgments, expectations, pefections, and unspoken commiments you have made. In forgiving yourself, you will reconnect to love’s essence. In regaining an authentic sense of who you are, you will be free.
It sounds so easy to just make a choice to be this way. The worlds problems would all be solved with the simple act of forgiveness of others and seeing through their drama to what is really being said.
So how does one get there?
By working on yourself. The first place to start is in claiming your truth. Let go of the judgments, the control, the should’s, the could’s, the need to be’s, the perfection, the thinking…Just be with love.
Who are you? “I AM THE ESSENCE OF LOVE.”
What does being the essence of love mean to you? How would that change how you act, react, respond, participate, and express? How would that modify your approach to yourself, family, friends, people in general? How would your perspective differ regarding work, play, issues, stress, problems, challenges, success and triumphs? If you never got love the way you wanted it, can you at least give it to yourself?
WHO ARE YOU? “I AM THE ESSENCE OF LOVE AND I GIVE THAT UNTO MYSELF AND ALL THOSE I MEET.”
Take the initiative to remind yourself of who you really are. For the next 40 days, without missing, start every morning looking in the mirror and repeating the following statement 11 times.
“I AM THE ESSENCE OF LOVE AND GIVE THAT UNTO MYSELF AND ALL THOSE I MEET.”
Breathe the statement in…Allow yourself to feel its truth resonate inside. Keep a journal of how your life begins to change. Take note of how differently you respond to challenges. See how differently people now respond to you. How is your world beginning to change on the outside as you begin to change on the inside?
The time is now…
This moment is for you…
Are you ready to remember who you really are?
Change your mind and you change your life…
BELIEVE…Beyond The Illusion
Warmest regards,
Simran Singh
